We’re attending the Vernal Poolooza 2026 conference happening April 9-11, 2026 in Archbold, Ohio. Join us to connect with the vernal pool community and learn about Ohio’s wetlands.

Vernal Poolooza 2026 is a three-day conference from April 9-11, 2026, hosted by the Ohio Wetlands Association at Sauder Village in Archbold, Ohio. It brings together students, naturalists, landowners, educators, and conservation professionals to explore, learn about, and celebrate vernal pools, seasonal wetlands that are ecologically vital habitats for important wildlife throughout the Northeast-Midwest region. The event features expert talks from groups like ODNR H2Ohio and Black Swamp Conservancy, hands-on field trips to protected natural areas, practical workshops (e.g., macroinvertebrate ID, photography, habitat evaluation), and networking opportunities. We look forward to learning new skills and connecting with fellow wetland ecologists, conservationists, and environmental stewards!
